RODELING AT LE MASSIF DE CHARLEVOIX

Let yourself be tempted by a new slide experience. Both tall and small will be sledding down a 7.5 km rodeling trail… and straight back into childhood! A unique adventure on Mont à Liguori, the trail has been specifically designed for the sport. Depending on your tastes and interests, there are two ways of experiencing rodeling, which is ever so popular in Europe.

DOG SLEDDING

Experience an adventure in the great outdoors, while discovering the beauty of the Charlevoix landscape and familiarizing yourself with a healthy and natural way of life. The departure takes place in a very turbulent manner. One by one, the dogs are removed from the kennels to be harnessed. They're so excited, nervous and impatient that they cannot wait to take to the woods. Showing their pleasure, they are attached to the sleds one at a time. This commotion always accompanies the harnessing ceremonial.

DES GRANDS-JARDINS PARC

At the beginning of the 20th century, the area was already renowned for its amazing fishing sectors. Impressed by the carpet of lichen and the northern vegetation, which is unusual at this latitude, people who visited the area at the time christened it Grands-Jardins. Today, this sample of the Great Québec North is still a favourite of fishing enthusiasts, as well as hikers, campers and vacationers who appreciate the magical setting of this exceptional national park. It has the privilege of being one of the central areas of the Charlevoix World Biosphere Reserve, a status awarded to the region by UNESCO. The Parc national des Grands-Jardins is accessible through the village of Saint-Urbain.
